Fine Art Prints

Fine art prints are available from any of the photographs found in the gallery.

Each print is signed by the photographer using acid-free ink.

For print sizes up to 12x18, Highland Gallery uses the Micro Light Valve Array (MLVA) exposure system developed by Noritsu Corporation. This breakthrough technology has all the advantages of digital printing while retaining the unique look and feel of traditional prints.

For prints that are 16x24 or larger, we use a LightJet 5000 manufactured by Océ. Like the Noritsu, the LightJet produces incredible prints on traditional paper but utilizes a three-color monochromatic laser system for exposure.

With both of these technologies, there is no optical degradation or light fall-off as is the case with conventional enlargers. The result? Remarkably sharp, vibrant prints that rival the finest hand-enlarged photographs. These are no ink jet prints, but are true "chemical" prints made incorporating the latest in hybrid printing technology.

A Note About Print Size

To allow you to easily mat and frame your photo without covering up part of the image, we border our prints 0.2 inches on each side by default. If you would prefer borderless prints, please indicate this preference when placing your order.

Note that for 4x6" and 8x12" prints, complimentary matting is provided. The overall dimensions of these two print sizes are 8x10" and 14x18", respectively. These sizes fit easily into ready-made frames, eliminating the high cost associated with custom framing. If you would rather purchase the print alone, you may do so at a reduced price.
